Dua Lipa went viral earlier this month for pairing pickles and Diet Coke — and Claussen is enjoying the moment.
The “Levitating” singer was sitting at a restaurant when she added pickles and jalepeos, plus their juices, to her plastic cup of Diet Coke, sharing it in a TikTok video that garnered 9.2 million views and 583,400 likes.
Now, Claussen, the beloved refrigerated pickle brand, is envisioning a world where pickle juice is a regular beverage addition.
“Hey Dua Lipa, let’s hear you. One sip is all it takes,” the brand wrote in an Instagram post, cheekily referencing its Calvin Harris hit collaboration “One Kiss” and showing a Coca-Cola glass with a model of the brand’s pickle juice on it. a can next to her.
“So we dare? 10k likes and we just might make Claussen dill pickle juice a thing.”
The post has surpassed 14,000 likes — well beyond Claussen’s intended goal.
In a statement to The Post, a company spokesperson offered a teaser that could make fans, well, “Leviate” with glee.
“We are beyond thrilled to see the enthusiasm and love for our brine and the overwhelming desire to make Claussen dill pickle juice a thing,” said Alyssa Cicero, senior brand manager for Claussen, in a statement to The Post.
“We are working hard to see how we can bring Just the Brine from concept to reality for all our pickle enthusiasts. Fans should stay tuned and follow on our social channels for the latest updates.â€
Lipa’s initial post sparked interest from fans and foodies alike and added to the dirty drink trend made popular by the Hulu hit The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and #MomTok.
While pickle fans await updates, they’ve taken to the comments section of Claussen’s post to express their excitement at the simple thought of pickle juice in a can, calling it “liquid gold.”
“PLEASE I CAN NEVER FINISH THE PICKLE BECAUSE I ALWAYS DRINK THE Brine FIRST 🤤🥴😫, wrote one overly excited customer, while another calmly supported the idea, saying : “I’m not a want it’s a need.”
“As a sports nutritionist, I’m begging you to do this,” one wrote, alluding to the purported benefits of pickle juice, with one fan calling it “The best leg cramp cure ever! YES!”
“10/10 please!!! I use chicken brine when my pickles are all gone,” exclaimed another, while one user joked: “I’d sell my soul for this.”
The Post has also contacted Coca-Cola for comment.
